This interactive workshop will equip facilitators, team leaders and managers with responsibility for chairing or facilitating virtual meetings, forums and service user groups, with practical communication strategies to navigate challenging conversations and situations confidently and skillfully.

1. Managing difficult conversations online
2. Managing disclosures during an online group
3. Diversion strategies and techniques to get things back on track.
4. Groups settings including:

• • Peer support forums
  • Team meetings
  • Service user groups

Through exercises and scenario discussions we will explore tools to spot and de-escalate conflicts, tame dominant voices and include quieter ones, managing disclosures and getting a meeting back on track. You will leave the session feeling better able to communicate effectively under pressure in virtual settings; understanding yours and others’ emotional triggers and creating positive outcomes even in the most challenging moments.
