The managed migration of claimants in receipt of legacy benefits over to Universal Credit has been on hold due to Covid-19 but is now restarting.
The Government has also started a campaign to encourage claimants of legacy benefits to voluntarily move to Universal Credit, rather than wait to be migrated.
This one-hour session will provide a basic overview of Universal Credit including the benefits it replaces, the claim process, how it differs from legacy benefits and how it is calculated.
This session will be followed by Universal Credit part 2: Update – RNIB legal rights session on 30 November, 2pm to 3pm for which you can register here.
