UK general election – information for blind and partially sighted voters (Scotland)

Wednesday 12 June 2024
10:00 am to 11:00am

Meeting Registration

There will be a UK general election on Thursday 4 July 2024, and everyone who is eligible to vote in the election should be able to access all the information they need to vote with confidence.

This event will be an opportunity for those working with blind and partially sighted people to hear from Catherine Heggie at the Electoral Commission about what voters need to know to get ready to vote, including registering to vote, the new voter ID requirements, and support at the polling place.

During this event, we will also be launching a UK general election voting guide for blind and partially sighted voters, which we have developed with the Electoral Commission, RNIB Scotland, Sight Scotland, Guide Dogs Scotland and the Electoral Management Board for Scotland.

Please note, this session and guide are targeted at voters in Scotland, as there are differences between each country.
