Tech Forum 2026-2027
Thursday 2 July 2026
10:00 am to 11:00am
Zoom
This forum provides an informal space to share ideas and experiences of designing and delivering tech services. We know this is a dynamic area of service delivery where shared innovative practices could be of huge benefit to visually impaired communities.
We are delighted to have speakers join us for the following upcoming sessions:
- 4 June 2026, 10 AM to 11 AM – Lamia Sreya Rahman, Co-Founder and COO at Seekr AI by Vidi Labs (opens window) who will share with us about this voice-first AI visual assistant that helps visually impaired people instantly understand what is around them. It works as a mobile app and a compact wearable camera, providing real-time scene/object descriptions, text reading (OCR), and “Ask/Chat” follow-up Q&A – so users can navigate, read signage and get context hands-free in places like airports, transit and retail.
- 2 July 2026, 10 AM to 11 AM – Creacube (opens window) is a Korea-based education technology company known for developing interactive, multisensory learning tools that support accessible and engaging maths education for children. Through its Braille Cube and broader smart-learning ecosystem, the company is working to expand how blind and visually impaired learners access foundational numeracy, using tactile interaction, audio prompts, and game-based design. Its approach brings together accessibility, curriculum-focused learning, and product innovation to create richer learning experiences for everyone.
This forum is facilitated by Mark Owen, CEO of Outlookers and David Quarmby, Chair of Outlookers.
