This quarterly forum is for Blind and Partially Sighted CEO’s and leaders across the Visionary network to support each other, share experiences, learning and discuss strategy around lived experience in a safe, closed space.
We are excited to share with you the new format of the forum in 2025 which will focus on wellbeing in leadership, including what we can do to support the journey of being a blind and partially sighted leader. We will also look at ways to encourage a caring mindset and share tips on managing wellbeing as a blind or partially sighted leader.
Thursday 13 February 2025, 1 PM to 2 PM – Positive planning and mindset
This session will focus on effective planning strategies, exploring technology that supports organisational and personal skills, and fostering a positive planning mindset for moving forward into the New Year. It is an opportunity to talk about tools and techniques that leaders are currently using or have found effective.
For this session we will delve into the topic of planning, initiating discussions on the following points:
- How can leaders plan effectively, especially when blind or partially sighted? Are there unique challenges or barriers to consider?
- What tools or strategies does your organisation use for planning?
- Are there differences in the accessibility or usability of various platforms?
- Exploring how affirmations can support positive planning and goal-setting.
Future sessions
- Thursday 15 May 2025, 1 PM to 2 PM – The difficult conversations – Managing your own wellbeing around having difficult conversations. Understanding what difficult conversations look like and how that might impact your own wellbeing.
- Thursday 11 September 2025, 1 PM to 2 PM – Change ready and resilience – How you can be change ready and resilient, what are these things and is it okay not to be ready or resilient?
- Thursday 11 December 2025, 1 PM to 2 PM – Winter wellbeing – Wellbeing activities and what we can do to support our wellbeing physically on a day to day basis, especially during the winter months.
