Well-being sessions are an exciting addition to the conference programme for 2021, we have created the opportunity for you to take some time out or try something new. We hope you will allow yourself to take a break in your hectic schedules and join in with one of the sessions.
Dance Dosti: Seated Latin Dance
Join Rashmi Becker from Step Change Studios in a 20-minute seated Latin dance session for blind and partially sighted people. This fun, accessible class will give participants a taster of a range different dance moves, drawing on cha cha and salsa. No dance experience required. All abilities welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and use a stable chair.
Rashmi Becker is the founder of Step Change Studios which supports disabled people to dance. In partnership with Metro Blind Sports, Rashmi is leading the Dance Dosti programme, which is supporting people with sight loss to dance. The programme encourages people from a South Asian background to take part – but is open to all backgrounds. Dance Dosti is delivering free dance classes in the London Boroughs of Ealing, Tower Hamlets, Brent, Harrow and Newham. To take part, call: 07462 895461 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Working out who you are isn’t always easy. So, it is really important to have fun, laugh and feel good
about yourself. Laughing Matters is not a workshop. It is a laughing session. When we laugh we
release endorphins – your body’s natural well-being hormone.
The session is safe, fun, easy to do, stress free and you will leave feeling great! Just come along.
Small space for participants to move around.
A mat or blanket for laying down, or a chair.
Thank you to Wilberforce Trust for introducing us to Angela de Castro and enabling us to host Laughing Matters at this year’s conference.
Time for you
Do you ever say “I wish I had just 5 mins to…..” or “I just need to sit for 10 minutes and…..”
Now is your time…. we have added a session of “Nothing” to the agenda for this year’s conference. We encourage you block out the 15 minutes in your diary and take the time to do something for just you – whatever it is that you need to do for you.
