‘I Can Do It’: a new children and young people’s pathway

Mel Cooke, Community Services Manager (Henshaws) will deliver an interactive session about the new ‘I Can Do it’ (ICDI) hybrid (online/face to face) modular pathway.

The new ICDI pathway allows all young people to engage in the ICDI course at any stage of their personal journey with sight loss. From birth to adulthood, it covers communication skills, journey skills, emotional intelligence, daily living skills, employability, social skills, future planning tool kit, parent and professional support and lots more.

This session is relevant for anyone who is working with, alongside or supporting young people or adults with additional needs, their families, professionals or support networks. By the end of the session, you will have an in-depth understanding of the pathway and the ICDI course, how you can engage and what the young people will benefit from doing so.

There will be an opportunity for Visionary members to work in partnership with Henshaws in delivering the ICDI programme to allow as many young people to access it as possible.
