LOOK UK Mentor Project Officer – Maternity Cover

Salary: £24,760 (FTE) per annum
Contract: Fixed term, 12 months with possible extension

LOOK is dedicated to supporting visually impaired (VI) young people and their families. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Mentor Project Officer to cover maternity leave.
The LOOK online mentoring programme connects visually impaired young people with a more experienced visually impaired mentor. The project is structured and heavily supported by LOOK staff. The Mentor Project Officer will support all aspects of the mentoring programme as required.
- Qualifications/Experience: Relevant qualifications or lived experience in mentoring, education, social work, or a related field is desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using online platforms and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage own time and workload.
- Attributes:
- Commitment to supporting visually impaired young people and their families.
- Empathetic and supportive nature.
- Ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the project.
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach to work.
