British Blind Sport (BBS) currently has two positions available to strengthen our experienced board of Trustees. We are particularly keen to recruit trustees who have skills and experience in communications and public relations, as well as commercial development, as we seek to develop expertise in these areas.

Communications & PR Non-Executive Role

British Blind Sport is currently seeking applications for an Independent Non‐Executive Director with significant Communications and PR experience in a sports-related or charity-related field.

About the Role

The Non‐Executive Director role we are currently looking to add to our Board of Trustees will bring an external perspective to challenge British Blind Sport on its current and future Communications & PR strategy.  In addition, to provide insight and internally focused advice to the CEO regarding our emerging communications needs, considering the recently awarded IBSA 2023 World Games. Successful candidates will have the ability to think strategically, demonstrate clear analytical intellect and add significant value to evidence‐based decision making. They will also be effective communicators, able to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.

Commercial Non-Executive Role

British Blind Sport is currently seeking applications for an Independent Non‐Executive Director with significant Commercial experience in a sports-related or charity-related field.

About the Role

The Non‐Executive Director role we are currently looking to add to our Board of Trustees will bring an external perspective to challenge British Blind Sport on its current and future Commercial strategy.  In addition, to provide insight and internally focused advice to the CEO regarding our long-term Commercial requirements and business development needs. This role also will be required to suggest ways to develop and launch new commercial opportunities in line with British Blind Sport’s purpose and values. Successful candidates will have the ability to think strategically, demonstrate clear analytical intellect and to add significant value to evidence‐based decision making. They will also be effective communicators, able to liaise with and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
