MoorVision is a small, lively and very effective charity supporting the families of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment across Devon and Cornwall. Operating since 2007, we now have 5 staff, 8 trustees and 12 volunteers. We have a high level of lived experience across our team.

MoorVision empowers Children and Young People with Vision Impairment to build confidence, develop independence and reach their full potential through tailored support, inclusive activities and opportunities to connect with others. We help young people overcome barriers, feel less isolated and thrive at home, in education and in their communities.

We are looking for a new Treasurer, with accounting qualifications and/or experience to take over from our existing Treasurer of 9 years. There would be a well-managed handover period.

The role is too onerous as our CEO who also generates all our income and manages our budget, we have a bookkeeper, use online accounting software and have accountants to prepare our end of year accounts, so it is more supportive and advisory and would require 1-3 hours per month.

All meetings are held online so we would welcome applications from across the UK.
