Salary: £7410 – £8399 per annum

Beacon Vision is committed to making a visible difference for people with sight loss, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Talking News Coordinator to join the team. At Beacon, our Talking News service is vital to individuals living with sight loss to access local news, information and events with the aim of reducing loneliness and isolation for our listeners and ensuring local news is accessible for people living with a visual impairment.
We’re looking for an ambitious, creative and determined person to develop and expand our Talking News service, creating fun and informative content and expanding the service across various digital platforms and diverse listeners.
Candidates need to be confident in collating, recording and editing content and using the technology required for production of the Talking News. This requires a digitally/IT literate candidate that is familiar with using editing software to edit and compile audio recordings.
If you’re passionate about making a difference to others, able to manage a team of volunteers and will be able to take ownership of the Talking News, then it’s the ideal opportunity.
