Salary: £21,130.20 per annum, pro rata
Contract: Permanent

Working for Sight Concern Worcestershire gives you the chance to support people with a visual impairment to live the life they choose. We need a senior member of our sight loss advice team to drive the team’s work in empowering people with a visual impairment to live more confidently and independently with sight loss.

The Senior Sight Loss Advisor will support the Services Manager to ensure that the sight loss advice service is responsive, person-centred and professional.  They will offer professional guidance and support to the team and undertake one-to-one work with some of our clients with more complex needs.

Who you are is more important to us than the qualifications you have.  You must have an understanding of the challenges faced by people with a visual impairment and be absolutely commited to supporting people to overcome those challenges if they want to.  You must also recognise the importance of being person-centred in our work and providing excellent service to our clients.

You can be based at home, at our office in central Worcester or a mixture of both.  You need to be able to travel across the county.  If you have a disability this can be arranged via the Access to Work scheme.

We can offer you the opportunity to help shape our service as we constantly seek to improve and develop.  You will be part of a small but dedicated team, united by a clear purpose.  No two days are the same and we are kept busy but the job satisfaction is significant.  We can offer flexible hours and working patterns so that your job does not need to be your life.
