Are you somebody who enjoys project working and has a successful track record of working with volunteers, experience of partnership working and commitment to person-centred working practices? Do you have an awareness or understanding of sight loss and outstanding organisational and communication skills?

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research and, the best advice and support.

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Their research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.

You will work towards expanding and developing a sustainable peer support network for people living with macular conditions, within the London region of England. You will act as a main contact for all our support services across the region, recruit, retain and manage volunteers and occasionally support development throughout England.

This role requires extensive travel across London and occasionally to our Head Office in Andover, Hampshire.

Good broadband connection is essential for this role.
