National Governing Body (NGB) Liaison Officer

Location: Hybrid working with 50% of time-based at Head Office
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £24,000- £26,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31 March 2024
Interview date: Monday 9 January 2023

British Blind Sport are working in partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to deliver See Sport Differently, a Sport England-funded initiative that aims to break down barriers in sport and increase opportunities for people with sight loss to participate in physical activity. This role is funded through this partnership.

We are looking for a dedicated Officer to develop and strengthen relationships with identified National Governing Bodies of sport (NGBs) and undertake concentrated work with the five most popular participation sports for blind and partially sighted people, which are swimming, athletics, tennis, football, goalball and one key development area – blind rugby and VI rugby. This role will work with these NGBs to make a real step change in terms of their support for increased participation of blind and partially sighted people. This role will report directly to the Head of Sports Development at British Blind Sport and sit on the See Sport Differently Operational Group.
