An exciting opportunity has arisen within LOOK for volunteer mentors to support our mentoring programme.
At LOOK we believe that nobody should have to cope alone. We offer structured peer support for our young people through our mentoring project and support groups connecting VI people to VI people, for guidance and support.
By creating community and connection amongst visually impaired young people and their families, we aim to boost confidence and increase access to social, employment and education opportunities.
How to become a LOOK Mentor
If you are Visually Impaired aged 18-35 years old and want the opportunity to use your lived experiences to support others then we need you!
No previous mentoring experience is required but an openness to listen, learn and use your experiences to provide constructive and positive support to a younger mentee is essential.
