Closing date: Friday 08 October 2021

NESS is the leading local provider of services for people living with serious sensory loss including people who are blind and deaf.

Our highly successful ICT for All service enables people with serious sensory loss to identify their best tech solutions and then help them learn how to use them. This may involve accessing specialist equipment or software or discovering and using built-in accessibility features on generic smart devices like phones, speakers and tablets.

Due to retirement we need to recruit an ICT Officer. The postholder needs to be solution-focussed and a highly motivated self-directed learner. Although based in Aberdeen, you will need to travel independently to our Elgin and Dundee resource centres regularly to see service users.

As the sole operator of this service, you will frequently work on your own with service users. You will need to be able to plan and organise your own workload, be well organised and see tasks through to completion. As a member of the wider Added Value team, you will have a diverse range of colleagues who will work closely to support you to the benefit of our service users.

All posts at NESS require membership of the PVG scheme and a disclosure check.

Informal enquiries about this vacancy can be made to Adam Hillhouse, on the number below.

Closing date Friday 8 October at noon.

Interviews expected 28th or 29th October in Aberdeen.
