Are you someone who knows how to develop and deliver information and support services that really change people’s lives to help us beat macular disease?

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research and the best advice and support.

The Head of Services Development will lead our national teams that deliver information, education, advice and support to patients, their families and friends and the eye care professionals who work with people with visual impairment. This includes our advice and information service, emotional support services such as befriending and counselling and our visual rehabilitation programme.

The post holder will support the Director of Services in devising and delivering innovative strategies that will help more people. They will work alongside the Head of Regions who leads our national network of peer support services.

If you are someone who can analyse and respond to data trends and then work creatively to expand and support services and activities, someone with strong networking and facilitation skills with proven experience of diversifying participation across audiences, then we would love to hear from you to discuss this exciting new role in detail.

We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.
