MySight York is seeking a Finance lead to join our Board of Trustees. This voluntary role is key to supporting effective financial oversight as we continue to expand our work with people living with sight loss.

The Finance Lead will work with staff and our accountants to ensure accurate financial records, produce clear reports for the Executive Committee, support budgeting and cashflow management, and oversee preparation of year‑end accounts. Meetings take place every two months, with an estimated commitment of 4–6 hours per month.

We are looking for someone with experience in finance, a strategic mindset, sound judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively. An interest in income generation or fundraising is an advantage.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a charity recognised nationally for its impact, including recent awards and funded projects improving inclusion and digital confidence across York.

Even if you have not previously served on a board, please be assured that we value your skills, perspective, and willingness to contribute. We will provide guidance and support as you become familiar with your responsibilities.
