RNIB Eye Clinic Support Service want to announce this exciting opportunity to join their North West team as an Eye Care Liaison Officer (ECLO).

In this role, you will be a vital member of the team working directly with people who have sight loss. You will provide critical emotional support, information and advice within a hospital setting at the Eye Clinic at Macclesfield Hospital. You will support people with sight loss by identifying their needs then signpost or refer service users, carers, family and friends to other services in the region.

This is a permanent role, working 3 days a week.

Who We’re Looking For

You will have a qualification in rehabilitation studies, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry or significant health and social care qualification and/or experience of delivering health or social care support services to adults and children.

You would need experience of working with people with sight loss or a recent experience of working in a similar role, or other related health/social care role – this is essential.

You will also have good communication and organisation skills, together with being a proficient user of databases and Microsoft Office packages.
