MySight York is a talented local charity in York providing a varied range of services that help people live well with sight loss. We have a great opportunity to join our team as an Employment Adviser.
In this role, you will be a vital member of the team, providing information, advice and guidance on issues relating to employment for people with sight loss living in Yorkshire and Humberside.
Working with internal and external parties, this role will recruit, assess and provide short-term one-to-one support to unemployed people with sight loss who are looking to find permanent employment.
This will involve working with external parties including employers, recruitment agencies, other sight loss organisations, DWP, ACAS, local authorities and healthcare services. You will also work with other staff across MySight York.
You must be a good team player who can work well with staff, volunteers and clients but also be able to work on your own initiative to prioritise your workload.
Experience of working with people with sight loss would be an advantage but full Sight Loss Awareness Training will be provided.
