Sight Support Hull and East Yorkshire is a well-established charity based in Hull supporting people with visual impairment.  We believe no-one in Hull & East Yorkshire should have to face sight loss alone and every visually impaired person can enjoy the same opportunities and quality of life as those who are fully sighted.

An opportunity has arisen for a Cook to join our team.  This position will be required to provide varied, balanced and nourishing meals for our clients.  Prepare weekly menus and order food provisions whilst keeping an economical stock level.

 It is essential that you have:-

  • NVQ Level 1 and 2 in catering
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Have experience of menu planning
  • Have experience of ordering food provisions
  • Have experience of maintaining stock levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative and make appropriate decisions
  • Have experience in working in a catering environment
  • Are able to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to control the kitchen costs
