We are looking for a Community Support Worker to join our team at Vista.

This role involves supporting people who have a sight and hearing loss or have a dual sensory impairment and an additional disability to become as independent as possible through supporting individual choice and control.

This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2024.

You will be required to work 25 hours per week flexibly Monday to Friday.  There may be additional hours/weekend work to meet the needs of the service.

In this role you will;

  • carry out support as required by the client, assisting people to access their community for appointments, shopping or activities.
  • work with people within their own homes or assist them to travel to agreed destinations.
  • support the individual to access their own community, ensuring that the person’s choice is exercised fully.

Experience of working with visually impaired people, older people or those with disabilities, you should also have proven verbal and written communication skills.
