Winners of the Visionary Awards 2020 announced
Visionary Chair, Owen Williams hosted the eleventh Visionary Awards 2020 ceremony which was held on the third and final day of the online Visionary Annual Conference on 20 November 2020. The awards recognise and celebrate the impactful services delivered by sight loss charities and the positive difference made to the lives of blind and partially sighted people.
Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations and also to everyone who voted. It’s clear what amazing work everyone is doing in making a real impact on the lives of blind and partially sighted people.
Winners of awards
Congratulations to the winners of the awards:
- Connect Award: Sight Support Hull and East Yorkshire for the “Inclusive fitness and running programme”
- Develop Award: Kirklees Visual Impairment Network for “Developing services to build a virtual community”
- Share Award: iSight Cornwall for ” ‘ReVision’ – Developing and sharing a remote low vision service”
- National Partner Award: Esme’s Umbrella for “Working with local sight loss organisations to raise awareness and support of Charles Bonnet Syndrome”
The winners each receive £500, a trophy and branded electronic PR resources.
