RNIB are looking for blind and partially sighted people who would be willing to talk about their mental wellbeing in an online focus group.

We will be discussing how sight loss has affected your mental wellbeing, and what support you have received. We would also like to explore any solutions you have found to look after your overall wellbeing, and how this has changed how you feel about your sight loss.

It is important for us to stress that this is not a therapy session. These focus groups will help RNIB identify the areas where more support is needed for blind and partially sighted people. However, if you feel upset or affected by anything discussed in the session, we will have processes in place to support you. Your responses will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be invited to attend 2 online sessions over a 2-week period. Each session will last approximately 2 hours 15 mins (15 min break included). The sessions will be held online, via Teams. Don’t worry, we can dial you into the call using your phone number if needed.

When?

  • Thursday 12 October and Thursday 26 October at 5:30pm – 7:45pm
  • Wednesday 15 November and Wednesday 29 November at 10am – 12:15pm
  • Tuesday 28 November and Tuesday 12 December at 2pm – 4:15pm
