Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures is an iconic and groundbreaking British dance theatre company, famous for telling stories with a unique theatrical twist. Our current touring show, “The Red Shoes” (opens YouTube), is a magical and powerful tale of obsession, possession and one girl’s dream to be the greatest dancer in the world. It follows a young and ambitious dancer, Victoria Page who joins the Ballet Lermontov company. Her ambitions soon become a fierce struggle between the two men who inspire her passion, resulting in tragedy.
