Sight loss charities write to Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation
Thomas Pocklington Trust, together with Guide Dogs and RNIB, has written to the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation to urge it makes all adults with visual impairment a priority cohort when the vaccination programmes reaches its second phase.
The letter outlines the challenges blind and partially sighted people face including social distancing, sighted guiding and touch navigation which place them more at risk of contracting COVID-19.
