The International Blind Sport Association (IBSA) World Games in Birmingham has launched and is running from 14 to 27 August 2023.

British Blind Sport are excited to host the biggest sporting competition for blind and partially-sighted athletes outside the Paralympics.

If you cannot join us in person this time, then all of the sports are being live streamed, with commentary, on the IBSA YouTube channel.

Find out more about some of the sports taking place in the Sky Sports article “World Blind Games: Meet the people training for the world’s largest sporting competition for blind and visually impaired athletes” and, if it wets your appetite, check out the sports schedule and get your own World Games tickets.

The World Games involves over 1000 athletes and an additional 1000 support and volunteer staff to create this transformative sports event!

"It is a privilege to play sport, to have the freedom to do so, and gain recognition for doing so at an elite level. I know that the World Games will be a powerful reminder of these truths and the reason as to why we have fought so hard, and worked so tirelessly, to make the World Games a success.

We hope to see you at the games!"
