Opportunity to help secure blind and partially sighted people’s right to vote independently and in secret.

Visionary members are asked to share RNIB’s invitation to blind and partially sighted people to take part in an Accessible Voting Trial on the 25 September 2023. The trial will take place from 1pm – 5pm at The Grimaldi Building, RNIB’s new London office.

You will be testing a range of accessible voting options that could improve the voting experience for other blind and partially sighted people at polling stations.

The trial is supported by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Electoral Commission. Its findings will inform the Electoral Commission 2024 Guidance for Returning Officers.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and travel expenses will be covered.

If you are interested in taking part in the trial, please email the RNIB campaigns team or call RNIB’s Helpline on 0303 123 9999 and ask them to pass on your contact information to the campaigns mailbox.
