Meet the New Sight Loss Data Tool

RNIB has launched a new version of the popular Sight Loss Data Tool (SLDT). The data tools is the UK’s largest collection of data and statistics related to eye health and sight loss.
Aside from a complete refresh and update of the data, SLDT Version 5 has a number of improvements. The most significant is the inclusion of a whole new dataset and suite of reports focused on health and social care geography. This means that eye health and sight loss stats are readily available for each of the Integrated Care Systems in England, and equivalent in the nations.
Another change is the inclusion of more narrative about the impact of sight loss, which has been taken from our key stats and facts report. This helps supplement the local data with more context about the lived experience of blind and partially sighted people.
