How to lobby your Council and your MP

A lot of lobbying can be ineffective, and if it is done badly it can be counter-productive. You can work effectively with the Council and your MP, and this session is designed to give you the insights that will help you to be successful lobbyists and build relationships with decision makers.
Bob Hughes, CEO at Sight for Surrey, is joining us to share his experiences from being an MP and government minister and now a County Councillor. During this session we will explore how local organisations can gain influence if they lobby properly and discuss how developing working relationships can support the development of local services. We will also aim to explore how you can start to build a positive and effective relationship with your local MP.
