Disability Living Allowance – RNIB legal rights session

Disability Living Allowance (DLA) provides help towards the extra costs of bringing up a child with a disability. It is no longer available as a new claim for adults, having been replaced by PIP. However, some people will continue to remain on DLA, depending on their date of birth.
This one-hour session will focus on the regulations and criteria for qualification of DLA, aimed particularly for a child claiming on the grounds of their sight loss, and how to challenge a decision. Time allowing, we will also touch on what determines whether an adult will or will not be migrated to PIP.
