Blind and Partially Sighted Peer Support Forum – Body and language confidence in the work place
Wednesday 6 December 2023
9:00 am to 10:00am
Zoom
We want to welcome you to our new Visionary Blind and Partially sighted Peer support forum held quarterly.
The sessions will be facilitated by Andy Smith of MyVision Oxfordshire and Nina Chesworth of Visionary. This will be a space for blind and partially sighted employees within the sector to come together to connect and share their experiences, challenges and celebrations with peers.
On 6 December 2023, we will be joined by Dr Sarah Bryan who will hold workshop on ‘Body and language confidence in the workplace’. After nearly 2 decades as a health professional with total sight loss, she works with two major client groups: people living with long-term physical pain and those living with sight loss. She works with a multi-disciplinary team of expert professionals, to help clients develop in five key areas: information, strategy, purpose, health and confidence. Clients receive bespoke mentoring and support with their physical development, mind-body connection, presentation, nutrition, technology and employment.
During the session Dr Sarah Bryan will share some methods on networking as a blind and partially sighted person. How to use body confidence and what is confident language. She will also cover these areas of online and in person interactions.
This is a great opportunity for you to gather insight into confidence and wellbeing as a blind or partially sighted employee, reflect on your journey so far and progress further in the employment world.
