Sandy Gillone is to become the new chief executive at Forth Valley Sensory Centre, effective from September 2026.

The change comes in the Camelon-based charity’s twentieth year of supporting people with sensory loss across the Forth Valley area.
Sandy has extensive experience within the sector, serving as the current operations manager at The Centre for the last two years; and within previous roles at Victim Support Scotland and the University of Stirling.

Sandy moves into the role as current chief executive as Jacquie Winning (MBE) steps down after 11 years in the position, having successfully led the service through periods of growth; navigating and overcoming communication challenges during Covid and nurturing new ways of working; and having helped shape The Centre into the vibrant community that it is today.
Jacquie Winning“After 11 incredibly rewarding years as CEO, the time feels right to move on and pursue new adventures, including some long-awaited travel. When I joined, I expected to stay for just a couple of years, but the organisation, its people and its purpose made it impossible to leave. It's been a privilege to work with such inspiring and generous people who use our services, dedicated colleagues, peers, and volunteers. I'll always be grateful for their unwavering support. While I'll be sorry to leave, I'm delighted that Sandy will take up the CEO role in September and wish him every success. I know the organisation is in excellent hands."
Sandy steps into the role at an exciting time for the organisation, with an ever-increasing demand for its services across the area.
The organisation has also recently expanded upon several community projects including the Clacks Cook and Connect initiative; and have also been successful in their application for their Tinnitus Tactics and Techniques project through The Self Management Fund, administered by the Health and Social Care Alliance (the ALLIANCE).
