From direct sales to project management, we need someone with a strong track record in winning business and delivering projects. This is a hands-on commercial role. You will be expected to grow our commercial enterprise portfolio, win business, increase income, lead delivery and manage relationships.

Job Purpose:

To lead and grow commercial income through our varied Business Services, with a strong emphasis on our web accessibility service MyWebAccess. As our Business Development Manager, you will provide oversight and leadership on all aspects of commercial income, helping us expand our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow MyVision’s Business Services, with a focus on increasing income and impact.
  • Take ownership of growing MyWeb Access, working to clear income targets.
  • Find and develop new business opportunities and partnerships, locally and nationally.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects and convert these into long-term customers and partners.
  • Lead on tenders and proposals related to web accessibility and accessibility consultancy.
  • Project manage the delivery of commercial services, making sure work is delivered well, on time and to a high standard.
  • Line manage and support staff involved in delivering commercial services.
  • Work with our Communications Officer on promotional activity that supports commercial income and raises the charity’s profile.
  • Put simple, effective processes in place so services run smoothly and work well with other MyVision teams.

Other Duties

  • Keep accurate records using our CRM systems.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, management meetings and supervision.
  • Attend relevant training and networking events.
  • Act as an ambassador for MyVision and help grow our reach and income to support blind and visually impaired people across Oxfordshire.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required.
  • Occasionally work outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends.

This Business Development Manager opportunity would suit someone from a technology background, particularly in sales, procurement or project management. We also recognise that many skills are transferrable.
