We are delighted to share this exciting new role leading a project to share and celebrate the history of people with sight loss. This project is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and made possible by National Lottery players. This role will oversee the delivery, coordination, and promotion of the project, ensuring that it captures and preserves the rich social history of sight loss while raising awareness of its impact. You will work closely with a team of Oral History interviewers, most of whom will have sight loss, arranging training for them in oral history skills, coordinating interviews with blind and partially sighted people, while helping to develop accessible resources. You will also work with local archive services to help make their collections more accessible.
We encourage applications from people with lived experience of the impact of sight loss or significant experience working in the sector.
