Assistive Technology Training Pilot for Sight Loss Sector. Level 1
Vision Partnership Technology Group is pleased to invite you to participate in a new pilot training opportunity.
This pilot aims are designed to enhance the competence and confidence of workers in the sight loss sector when supporting individuals to effectively use assistive technology in their daily lives.
What You’ll Gain
Through this training, you will:
- Develop a foundational understanding of the prerequisite skills and concepts needed for individuals with low vision to engage with accessibility features.
- Learn to explain and demonstrate the benefits of voice assistants, including making calls and sending messages.
- Gain practical experience in setting up and introducing VoiceOver to new users.
- Understand key safeguarding considerations when using mobile devices with blind or vision-impaired individuals.
This pilot is a unique opportunity to build your skills, add to your continuous professional development, share insights, and contribute to shaping future training initiatives in the sector.
The training is free of charge and will be presented by specialist technology training practitioners. The dates and format will be agreed once participants are identified.
