Providing services, information and support to residents of Merton who have a vision impairment

Location: Colliers Wood, SW19 2DX
Hours: Full time, 35 per week
Salary: £24,450 - £28,119
Contract: 3 year contract with possible extension
Interview date: w/c July 25th

An exciting full time opportunity has opened at MertonVision a small  sight loss charity  based in Merton. We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Are self-motivated and confident able to relate well to people with a visual impairment, older people and those from diverse cultures
  • Can meet the needs of people with a visual impairment
  • Have good team working skills
  • Are able to handle difficult situations calmly
  • Have experience of setting up activities and/or support groups
  • Are great at communicating verbally and in writing
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Are confident with I.T. packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook and the Internet.

This is a varied, interesting and rewarding role. You will be responsible for providing quality support and for referring to rehabilitation services.
