Trustee Finance Director

British Blind Sport is currently seeking applications for a Trustee Finance Director with experience in a sports-related or charity-related field.

Experience:

  • Significant Financial/Accounting experience, including relevant qualifications.
  • Leadership skills within this area.
  • Ability to scrutinise and prepare management and annual accounts.
  • To work with Auditors in the Annual Statutory Accounts process and Annual Review.
  • Ability to explain finances in a clear and simple way for non-financial people.

This is a voluntary role that is unpaid, but you can claim reasonable expenses if required, such as travel to attend meetings in person. Although our Head Office is in Leamington Spa, we understand that the blind and partially sighted community is spread across the UK, and we are keen to reflect that regional diversity on our Board. Blind and partially sighted people are at the heart of all that we do, therefore we would particularly welcome applicants from within the sight loss community.
