Location: Northern Ireland
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £28,500 FTE (£17,100 pro rata) per annum

Do you want to make a difference for people living with glaucoma?
Do you enjoy training and facilitating groups, and understand the difference that good peer support can make? If so, this role may be for you!
Glaucoma UK is the leading charity for people living with glaucoma. We run services, promote research and work closely with eye health professionals to ensure good support and sight-saving treatment for people with glaucoma.
As a Glaucoma UK Training and Engagement Officer you will play a key role in protecting sight, particularly in communities at higher risk of developing glaucoma. You will help us to roll out training for eye health professionals, set up new glaucoma support groups, and strengthen links with high risk communities, acting as a point of contact with organisations across the region/nation.
This could be a great development or secondment opportunity for someone already working in the sight-loss sector, but no specialist experience is needed and training will be given. So if you don’t think you ‘tick every box’ but have the passion and energy to learn and develop quickly in the role, we’d love to hear from you.
If you would like to apply for the post, please email your CV and a covering letter explaining how you meet the person specification, to Richenda at r.kew@glaucoma.uk by 9am on Monday 13 February. Please state which role you are applying for in the email subject line (e.g. ‘TEO Northern Ireland’).
