Suffolk Sight is a local, community-based sight loss charity supporting children and adults of all ages. We work hard to provide services that are friendly and practical, and to raise awareness of the different aspects of living with sight loss.

We are seeking a Social Club & Volunteer Liaison Officer to join the Volunteer Team.

The role plays a key part in the team supporting the social and voluntary services of Suffolk Sight and its main areas of focus are:

  • Acting as a proactive link between Suffolk Sight and its volunteers, affiliated social clubs and district committees, providing direct support and communication and assisting the running of effective groups in line with Suffolk Sight’s policies, procedures and strategy.
  • Being a champion for Suffolk Sight’s clubs, supporting membership attendance through promoting its services.
  • Facilitating the sharing of knowledge and best practice between the clubs.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of motivating and engaging volunteers, combined with a positive and outgoing attitude and a confident approach to building and maintaining effective working relationships.
