Hours: 23 hours per week, flexible during normal business hours with very occasional out of hours working
Salary: £22,183 pro-rata (based on full time equivalent of 37 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a Registration and Equipment Advisor to join our friendly team and support people with vision impairment in North Somerset. Experience of supporting people, especially those with disabilities, excellent communication skills, accurate data entry and confident IT skills including the ability to learn use of the ‘Maximiser’ database are required.
The role is based our office at Weston-Super-Mare but the ability to travel independently throughout North Somerset to deliver the service is essential. We can support Access to Work applications if needed.
You will provide a service on behalf of North Somerset Council to register adults and children as sight / severely sight impaired. You will provide a holistic initial assessment either through a home visit, centre visit or telephone call, offering information about activities, aids, equipment and Vision North Somerset services and making referrals.
