Sight for Surrey is looking to recruit a job share Operational Teams Manager to join a busy Adult Services Department with primary responsibility of overseeing the day to day management of teams delivering commissioned specialist services including assessment and rehabilitation to people with vision impairment and dual sensory loss and welfare benefits advice.

We are a leading charity commissioned by Surrey County Council supporting over 8,000 people across Surrey and offer a lifetime of support to people who are blind or partially sighted, Deaf, deafblind or hard of hearing.  Established in 1922, we are a countywide charity based in Fetcham, near Leatherhead.

The post holder will be managing teams of specialist workers delivering support to individuals with sensory loss to achieve independent and fulfilled lives, through rehabilitation/mobility/daily living/ low vision /communication training, equipment provision and a team providing specialist welfare benefits information, benefit checker assessments and support with benefit applications.

We are looking for a suitably qualified individual, with relevant experience and a working knowledge of the Care Act and a strength-based approach.  A collaborative, team work approach is essential, as the post holder will be working under the direction of the Head of Department and will work closely with the other two Operational Team managers, to lead and co-ordinate services effectively. This includes contributing to the production of statistical reports, participating in internal and external meetings, and professional supervision.

A Disclosure and Barring Service will be required which we can arrange.  In view of our Social Care activities, our aim is to have a fully vaccinated workforce, and we encourage and support our workers to protect themselves with available vaccinations.

Full time annual leave entitlement is 28 days per annum.  Sight for Surrey complies with auto enrolment, we match contributions up to 6% using the Pensions Trust.  SFS offers to pay for annual flu vaccinations and for an eye test every two years with a contribution towards work related glasses.
