Salary: £29,730 inclusive of London Weighting

RNIB are pleased to announce this exciting opportunity to join the ECLO team as part of the RNIB Eye Care Support Service.

RNIB in partnership with Hounslow Council and the Middlesex Association for the Blind have been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to benefit Hounslow residents with sight loss.

You will be one of the Two Eye Care Liaison Officers (ECLOs), who will provide an important bridge between health and social services in addition to support and wellbeing of patients throughout the sight loss pathway.

You will increase awareness through events, talks and workshops and support an increase in the number of Certificates of Visual Impairment (“CVI”) received by the borough.

You will provide emotional support, information, and guidance face to face, via the phone and by digital platforms as required. Supporting people affected by sight loss to identify their needs, access information, and make informed choices which enable and empower them to maintain their independence.

Can you work on your own initiative? Do you have excellent organisational skills? Are you a confident user of multiple IT systems? This could be the ideal role for you!

We particularly welcome applicants who are fluent in either of two ethnic languages Hindi/Gujrati/Punjabi/Urdu.
