Children’s Activity Coordinator

Location: Lemington, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £24,000 FTE per annum / Pro rata approx. £13,300 pa.
Contract: permanent
Useful Vision is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are a leading registered charity in the region delivering accessible activities to visually impaired children for 19 years.
We are looking for a person with experience of working with children and young people, either in education, youth work or similar to organise and deliver enjoyable, accessible activities for visually impaired children and their families across the North East of England.
Applicants will need to be imaginative, have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, used to managing volunteers. Training in Visual impairment awareness will be available and you will have the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of disabled children. Must be available to work at least 2 weekend days a month. Ability to travel around the region with access to a car. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
With pension and travel expenses.
