Charity Team Leader

Location: Based in Lemington, Newcastle Upon Tyne with travel around the region
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 FTE per annum ( Pro rata approx. £16,800 per annum) with pension and travel expenses.
Contract: permanent, part time
Useful Vision is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis and will organise and manage the delivery of enjoyable, accessible activities for visually impaired children and their families across the North East of England.
As team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations with effective collaboration. Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals. Applicants will need to be imaginative, have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, used to managing volunteers as well as staff.
Training in Visual impairment awareness will be available. Must be available to work at least 2 weekend days a month. Ability to travel around the region with access to a car. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check
