Since the successful launch of the Curriculum Framework for Children and Young People with Vision Impairment (CFVI), we have been working with sector partners from across the UK to embed the CFVI into policy across the UK nations.

Today, as part of this journey, we are delighted to share with you, policy position statements for each of the UK nations, that set out what the CFVI is, why it is important and what we would like to see happen in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.

We want to ensure every child and young person with a vision impairment across the UK has equitable access to specialist support to enable them to effectively access their learning and to develop key skills required to live and work independently in adulthood.

Read our CFVI policy position statement to learn more about the issues faced by children and young people with a vision impairment and how the CFVI can help support them to in reaching their potential.

We hope that the policy statements will be a useful tool in supporting the sector in talking about the CFVI and to facilitate any discussions that may take place with decision makers.

You can download your copy of the CFVI itself, associated resources and find the latest updates at: www.rnib.org.uk/cfvi

If you have any questions or would like further information, then please do not hesitate to email us at cypf@rnib.org.uk (Subject: CFVI)
