Guide Dogs UK Launch Cost of Living Survey

With the rise in the cost of living, many families are struggling to make ends meet. Guide Dogs believe that there are additional costs associated with having a child who is visually impaired, and that these families are being impacted disproportionately in the current cost of living crisis.

Guide Dogs is conducting a survey to increase our understanding of the impact of having a child/children with a vision impairment on the family budget and general family life, compared to that of families with non-disabled children. This evidence will help us identify interventions that could better support families with a child/children with a vision impairment. The survey will be running until 12th December 2022 and takes roughly 20 minutes to complete.

How can you help?
We’re eager to hear from a large and diverse group of families to ensure the data we collect is representative.

We’d be grateful if you could share this survey with any parents or guardians who may be interested in taking part. This may include sharing it directly with families, where appropriate, including it in an e-newsletter, or on your website or social media channels.
