Glaucoma UK is launching a new campaign to highlight the services it provides to those living with glaucoma. With an estimated 700,000 individuals in the UK living with the disease, half of whom don’t know they have it, the charity is urging people to seek support in these challenging COVID-19 times.

As part of World Glaucoma Week 2021, which will run from 7 to 13 March, Glaucoma UK aims to raise awareness of the different support channels it can offer you anytime, anywhere. From the top of a hill or a trek through the woods to a supermarket aisle or the comfort of your sofa, support for people living with glaucoma is accessible whenever and wherever you need it.

The charity will be launching a series of podcasts to support the campaign, covering themes from ‘what is glaucoma’ to ‘how is it treated’. Whether you’re on a walk or doing the housework, you can tune in and learn as you go. They will also be hosting four digital glaucoma support groups throughout the week on topics specifically selected by people living with glaucoma.

To further celebrate their ‘anytime, anywhere’ campaign, Glaucoma UK will be releasing a new ‘How we can help’ booklet, which brings all their resources together in one handy guide;
