How to get there… St James’ Park is located on Barrack Road in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Rail, bus and taxi

The stadium is adjacent to St James Metro Station and public bus stops.  It is a 10 - 15 minute walk from the Central Railway Station or you can catch the 36, 36B, 71, 87 or 88 bus from Berwick Street, which is opposite the station; this journey will take about 5 minutes. Taxis are also available at the station.

Travel by car

By road, from the A1 north or south, take the A184 slip road and cross the Redheugh Bridge which leads to St James’ Boulevard.  At the end of the Boulevard turn left at the traffic lights into Barrack Road and move to the right hand lane. The stadium is on the right hand side of the road.  Turn right at the second set of traffic lights into the stadium car parking area.

Car parking

Once in the car parking area drive straight forward; an attendant’s box is on the right.  Feel free to stop and ask for parking advice. The Pay and Display multi-deck car park is on the left; this costs 40p per hour.  Disabled bays are on the outskirts on the ground level.  If you drive past the multi-deck, you will see a sign for ‘Conference and Banqueting Car Parking’.  This is a multi-storey car park and Sight North East visitors and exhibitors can park free of charge on level one; please be aware that the above level does not belong to the stadium and you will not be able to park there.  If level one is full, you will need to use the Pay and Display multi-deck.  If this is full, other public car parks are available in the city centre and they are signposted.

It is possible for disabled visitors travelling by car to make special parking arrangements at St James’ Park but prior notice must be given to the stadium.  Telephone 0191 2018525 for advice.
